Preliminary design produces options, a first cost estimate and the first consultations. AI helps to compare options faster and to find gaps before the budget is fixed.

Preliminary design sets the frame for the whole project: options, costs, first consultations with authorities and specialist consultants. If a cost group is missing here or a question stays open, it is often only noticed once the budget has already been agreed.
