Insight into the project

Redesign to support orientation and social inclusion

As part of the project, the existing living space was restructured to better support the daily lives of people with dementia. Activity and living areas were connected to create a continuous and legible spatial sequence. Staff areas were integrated into the layout to improve supervision and accessibility. The living space was enlarged to allow for more flexible use and the simultaneous occurrence of different activities. Specific activity zones were embedded within the residential area to encourage spontaneous participation. Furniture layout and selection were adapted to support orientation and provide opportunities for both retreat and social interaction.
