Insight into the project

User-Centered bathroom design for well-being, safety, and functionality for people with dementia

In this project, the bathroom of a care facility was redesigned with special attention to safety, accessibility, and user comfort. Slip-resistant surfaces and strategically placed grab bars were implemented to minimize the risk of accidents and support independent use. Sensory elements such as color schemes, lighting, and pleasant scents were considered to create a calming environment. Natural materials and coordinated color palettes were included to contribute to a homelike atmosphere. Flexible fittings were intended to ensure adaptability to various needs, including wheelchair accessibility.
