Redesign of a family home with a focus on garden and facade
Client vision and design approach
Transformation of the courtyard into a garden-like outdoor space with natural elements and seating areas, as well as a seamless connection to the house
Insight into the project
Designing the interface between inside and outside
In this single-family house project, the design focus was placed on the central garden elements — including a pavilion, fountain, various seating areas, garden trees, balcony, and parking space. Attention was given to a well-balanced composition of the individual design components so they could merge into a harmonious overall concept. In the façade design, special emphasis was placed on transparency, giving the windows greater spatial depth and expression.
The design idea within the reconstruction plan was to deliberately integrate natural elements into the space. Redesigning the parking area and the adjacent pavilion created a semi-open transition space, turning the former central courtyard into a coherent and spatially defined main courtyard. Two elements — a fountain and a palm tree — were used to give the courtyard visual depth and orientation.
